Winter is all about the colder days, and darker evenings, it can be hard to keep motivated and to get your dog out and about. So, we’ve done the hard work for you and compiled a list of some must-visit spots throughout the UK to explore during the winter months.

Whenever taking your dog out and about in a new place/location, please ensure that your dog is kept on a lead to keep safe. We recommend always taking some tasty treats, to keep your dog focused and motivated during a long walk.

The Royal Parks are an integral part of British culture and history, there are a number of places throughout London to explore. Always respect the parks’ rules and requirements to get the most out of your visits. Each location varies with access; check here for prohibited areas. Please note, all sites request that dogs are kept on the lead when near roadways and water.
Settled within the hustle and bustle of London, Richmond Park offers a wonderful escape from concrete paths. We all remember the famous Fenton video which featured in the heart of Richmond Park. The video clearly shows us that keeping your dogs on a lead is always a good idea when you spot potential prey, no matter how far. With grounds that cover over 2500 acres, there’s more than enough space for your dog to explore. With a variety of terrain there’s plenty for your dog to experience and add to their day of adventure.

Surrey Hills is a location that covers a variety of different locations, including but not limited to Box Hill. This site is known for featuring cycling in the 2012 London Olympics, it’s also known by the locals for one of the best places in Surrey, for dog walking. With both heathland and woodland, your dog will enjoy a whole host of amazing smells and textures.

Don’t forget to bring your Poop bags, leads and water with you. As well as some tasty Judge's Choice Mini Cheese Bones!
Tintagel Castle is a breathtaking location; off the coast of north Cornwall you will find the incredible ruins off the cliffs. Be sure to wear your thickest coat and knitwear, as the wind can be really quite refreshing! Spectacular views cover the coastline, ensure you keep your dog on the lead to keep them safe and secure.
If this is a bit much for your dog, why not try one of the many beaches in the South West? Another very popular spot includes Durdle Door in Dorset, this location offers a variety of circular walks to keep your dog occupied and is very well-known as a very dog-friendly location.  When visiting the coast, keep on trend with some grain-free fishy cookies to keep your dog focused on you!
